I was really intrigued by this story primarily because it seemed so character driven. By that I mean, the reader is drawn into the both Lauren and Annie's lives. Their thought processes. So much so, that I often found myself cringing in sympathetic pain as a result of Lauren's memory issues. Intermingled with all of this is Bo's story-line and what happened to him. I found myself coming up with a variety if scenarios and I wasn't correct ever.
To be clear, I don't think this is a suspense/thriller or even really a mystery although, there is a crime/mystery element to it. It felt to me that it was more about Lauren and the aftermath of her brain injury etc and it was just very neatly packaged into the mystery surrounding Bo.
